Mrs. Ward has been a part of the Thurgood Marshall Academy Lower School family for the past 15 years. Mrs. Ward currently serves as a self-contained 4th grade teacher of Thurgood Marshall Academy Lower School. Danica also supports teachers in monthly data collection and inquiry analysis as the school’s Data Coach. Mrs. Ward is a Peer Collaborative Teacher with a Lab Classroom that serves as a schoolwide model for research based instructional practices for student engagement. Mrs. Ward is a Mentor for teachers and students on the educational pathway. She has collaborated with Dr. Gholdy Muhammad and has become a school leader on Culturally & Historically Responsive Pedagogy. Danica has a Master’s in Education along with certification for grades 1-6 including students with disabilities.
